Throughout the Triduum, a box in the chapel will receive petitions, promises and vows. The community prays over every intention, and they are kept until next year's burning of the intentions.
Our community
A neighbourhood chapel, with an open door and a rose in hand
The Chapel of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus stands in Concórdia III, in Araçatuba, Brazil, and it is home to the families who live around it. Here the rosary is prayed, children are prepared for first communion, newcomers are welcomed and those who leave are seen off.
St. Thérèse taught that we do not need to do great things — we need to do small ones with great love. That is the way of our community: the chair set out before Mass, the coffee after the rosary, the car that gives the neighbour a lift. The little way, every day.
You are welcome at any celebration. No need to let us know, no need to know anyone. Just come in.

Every week
Mass on Saturdays
The community's main celebration happens every week, and no invitation is needed. Mass is on Saturdays at 6:30 pm, and on Tuesdays the family rosary gathers those who want to pray in a simpler way.

Who the patron saint was
Thérèse, who made small things her way
Devotion to St. Thérèse reached Concórdia III the way faith usually reaches a neighbourhood: through people\'s homes. Before there was a chapel there was a rosary prayed in the living room, a statue passing from door to door, and the promise that one day there would be a place of its own for the patron saint.
Thérèse Martin was born in Alençon, France, in 1873, entered the Carmel of Lisieux at fifteen and died at twenty-four. She founded nothing, travelled nowhere, wrote no treatises — she left a notebook of memories and the promise to let fall from heaven a shower of roses.

St. Thérèse promised to spend her heaven doing good on earth. Here the Pascom team publishes community notices as well as accounts of graces the community attributes to the intercession of its patron saint.

Triduum and Feast of St. Thérèse
Three nights of Mass and the feast of the patron saint, with a guest celebrant each day. It is the largest celebration in the chapel's calendar — and you are welcome on any of the nights.
